Welcome to Farnborough Bibs & Sands

We are a local branch of the national Sands charity. We support anyone affected by the loss of a baby at any stage of pregnancy or after birth, no matter how long ago or how recent the loss and cover the area from Basingstoke, Petersfield, Guildford, Woking, Ascot, Bracknell, Wokingham and everywhere in between.

The group is run by volunteers who are all bereaved parents themselves and so understand the devastation and heartbreak of losing a child. The details of our losses vary widely, however we have all found ourselves on a journey that we never imagined we would be on.

We are not trained counsellors or health professionals but can offer support, understanding, comfort and most importantly a listening ear.

We also work in partnership with local healthcare professionals to improve the quality of care and services offered to bereaved families. In addition we promote research and improvements in practice that could help reduce the loss of babies' lives.
